Roles
A role is an abstract function in a DX organization and is described by tasks and empowerment. Persons, groups, and posts can operate in a DX Organisation by taking on different roles.
Roles are also applied in workflows. In case a role is to assume a specific function in the approval process, it must be integrated into the relevant workflows.
Add roles
Roles are specified in the subpanel of an organization.

A new role is added by clicking the tab "Roles" and the icon "+" (or by selecting "Add Role..." in the menu).

It is mandatory to assign a label to the role. In addition, a title and a description can be specified. It is possible to define which role type the role has, whom the role reports to, and whether the role is a member of a group.
Clicking "Add" creates the role.
Roles can also be created by duplicating other roles.
Edit roles
A role is edited in the main panel of the role, by clicking the edit icon (or by selecting "Edit Role" in the menu).

The edit mode allows the modification of all standard input fields. Additional, customer-specific fields can be added using annotations and will then also appear in the edit mode.

The icons in the lower left corner of the edit view allow further settings to be made:
- Clicking
marks the element as favorite.
- Clicking
marks the element as locked.
- Clicking
marks the element as read-only.
Clicking "Save" applies the changes.
A role can be deleted in the main panel of the role, by selecting "Delete Role" in the menu.
