Data objects
Databases or other structured, physical data (e.g. interfaces) are described as data objects and are organized in data models. Data objects contain technical attributes as well as technical relationships to other data objects.
Data objects can inherit technical attributes and technical relationships from superordinate data objects. Transformations can be used to connect data objects with the corresponding business objects.
Add data objects
Data objects are specified in a data model in the subpanel of a collection.

A new data object is added by clicking the tab "Data objects" and the icon "+" (or by selecting "Add Data object..." in the menu).

It is mandatory to assign a label to the data object. In addition, a title and a description can be specified. The inheritance ("Is a") from a superordinate data object may be defined, if required.
All technical attributes and technical relationships of the superordinate data object are inherited by the subordinate data object. The subordinate data object represents a specialization of the superordinate data object.
Clicking "Add" creates the data object.
Data objects can also be created by duplicating other data objects.
Edit data objects
A data object is edited in the main panel of the data object, by clicking the edit icon (or by selecting "Edit Data object" in the menu).

The edit mode allows the modification of all standard input fields. Additional, customer-specific fields can be added using annotations and will then also appear in the edit mode.

The icons in the lower left corner of the edit view allow further settings to be made:
- Clicking
marks the element as favorite.
- Clicking
marks the element as locked.
- Clicking
marks the element as read-only.
Clicking "Save" applies the changes.
A data object can be deleted in the main panel of the data object, by selecting "Delete Data object" in the menu.
