Technical relationships
A technical relationship is a link between a technical source object and a technical target object (or their respective attributes).
Add technical relationships
Technical relationships are specified in a data model in the subpanel of a data object.

A new technical relationship is added by clicking the tab "Relationships" and the icon "+" (or by selecting "Add Relationship..." in the menu).

It is mandatory to assign a name as well as a source object and a target object to the technical relationship. In addition, an order can be specified. The direction of the technical relationship may be toggled, if required.
The source object and target object define the direction of the technical relationship. The current data object must either be specified as the source object or as the target object.
Clicking "Add" creates the technical relationship.
Technical relationships can also be created by duplicating other technical relationships.
Edit technical relationships
Quick edit
A technical relationship is edited in the subpanel of the data object, by clicking the edit icon (or by selecting "Edit Relationship" in the menu) next to the technical relationship.

The quick edit mode allows the modification of the most frequently used input fields.

- Clicking

Clicking "Save" applies the changes.
A technical relationship can be deleted in the subpanel of the data object, by selecting "Delete Relationship" in the menu next to the technical relationship.
Detailed edit
A technical relationship is edited in the main panel of the technical relationship, by clicking the edit icon (or by selecting "Edit Relationship" in the menu).

The detailed edit mode allows the modification of all standard input fields. Additional, customer-specific fields can be added using annotations and will then also appear in the edit mode.

The icons in the lower left corner of the edit view allow further settings to be made:
- Clicking
marks the element as favorite.
- Clicking
marks the element as locked.
- Clicking
marks the element as read-only.
Clicking "Save" applies the changes.
A technical relationship can be deleted in the main panel of the technical relationship, by selecting "Delete Relationship" in the menu.
Order technical relationships
The sorting of the technical relationships is determined by their order (if present). This order can be assigned manually during editing. Alternatively, in the subpanel of the data object, it is possible to arrange the technical relationships and assign their order automatically.

Selecting "Order Relationships..." in the menu opens a dialog, where the technical relationships can be rearranged with the mouse using "drag and drop".

Clicking "Save" applies the changes and reassigns the order automatically.
If required, it is possible to specify that automatic ordering should start at a certain number.
