Basic functions

Functionality	Description
Subdataset extension	The subdatasets in dataspot. have been extended to include components. This means that large and complex datasets can now be divided into subdatasets and the respective components can be stored in the subdataset.
Components as separate asset	Components are now a separate asset in dataspot. and can therefore be stored with their own description and responsibility. Individual fields can now also be defined for components.

Import/Export & Reports

Functionality	Description
Extended import options	When importing via frontend or interface, a status can now also be set for added elements and changed elements.
Deprecated export/import version V1	The old version of the import (V1) is no longer offered at the frontend. The recommended version 2 has been set as the default in interfaces.

Usability

Functionality	Description
Advanced search in dataspot.	The existing dataspot. search has been enhanced with an addvanced search function. In the advanced search, explicit fields (standard fields and customised fields) can now be searched. The type of search (contains, is, is not, ...) can also be defined. Search filters can also be combined as required.
Display transformations in diagram	Transformations are now displayed as a box in the lineage diagram around transformation rules.
Emojis as reactions to comments	Emojis can now also be used to react to comments in the collaboration function of dataspot.
Different colour schemes in dataspot.	dataspot. is now available in different colour schemes by default. Users can select the schemes light, dark, system (application of the system setting) and colour vision deficiency for display.
Individual colour schemes in dataspot.	dataspot. can now be configured in an individual colour scheme. In the dataspot. configuration, the menu bar (background colour and text colour) and the colours of the statuses and assets can be defined using hex codes. Details on the configuration can be found in the manual under Configuration.
Adjustments to the project model diagram	Connections between reference data, between attributes and their value ranges, as well as is-a relationships are now also displayed in the project diagram.
UI Toolkit	A new toolkit for the frontend functionalities has been implemented in dataspot. This means that further functions can be established in the use of dataspot. in the future.

Configuration

Functionality	Description
Custom Functions	Custom functions can now also be integrated into dataspot. using YAML. A function can be defined in the YAML configuration which can be called on the asset. The function is stored in the configuration using href. When the function is called, dataspot. can output the relevant information about the asset and the active user.
